Alaskan Poppies

Sorry for the picture quality. My camera was not available. Here is a quick, "don't think about it too much", painting. Sometimes when I get in a slump, putting bright color on a canvas can liven me back up.
Enjoy,

Meet Eva.
This is a painting that I started a while ago at my friend Angie's house. She was having a girl's paint day and.....out came Eva. She will now be glazed, framed and sent to Richard Cable Interiors.http://www.richardcableinteriors.com/ There she will hang until she catches someone's eye. I am really having a hard time letting go of her. She has been on my easel for a while and I feel as if I know her.

Banana Bay

Banana Bay
10 x 10 acrylic & ink on wrapped canvas

I have to say, the place we are staying is beautiful. It is called Banana Bay and has it's own little private beach.. This morning I took a walk down to the sandy oasis and decided to draw. The sound of the water gently lapping up on shore and the boats headed down the waterway to their destinations is eye catching. I think I could sit and do nothing in this little spot for hours.

The panoramic view seemed hard to capture. So I decided to tilt the canvas for a more accurate depiction......My writing sound a little weird this morning :( Don't know what is up with that!

Anyway, I did this one in the same style as some of my pen and water color small paintings. It is not quite finished...but thought you all might like to see.

Enjoy!

Oysters on the Half Shell

Oysters on the Half Shell

Well our dinner last night must have inspired this one. There is one food that is a must have when coming to the beach....OYSTERS! I love love love them. They are always a treat. So we gathered around like wild boars as the waitress placed them on the table. You would have thought we hadn't eaten for days. LOL Needless to say the oysters were gone in a matter of minutes. Having 3 teenage boys with us, it is hard to have any food around for more than a few minutes. :)

Enjoy!
